Dermaroller

Treatment Time: 75 minutes

What is Dermaroller (Collagen Induction Therapy)?
Dermaroller is a non-surgical approach to skin care.
It is a simple but highly effective treatment that is used to replace collagen by naturally stimulating collagen and elastin production in the skin using a titanium micro-needle roller.

Dermaroller can be used as a treatment for a variety of skin problems

  • reducing fine lines and wrinkles
  • acne
  • scars
  • open pores
  • help to improve general tone and appearance
  • stretch marks
  • cellulite

What parts of the body can be treated?

Any part of the body can be treated and Dermaroller is suitable to be used on all skin types

How long does it take?

The procedure itself takes 30-40 minutes. Prior to the treatment a topical anaesthetic cream will be applied to the skin, this produces a numbing effect which aims to make the procedure comfortable. The skin will then be cleansed and prepared.

Results usually can be expected from 6 weeks following the first treatment. A refreshed and more youthful looking skin.

Dermaroller

How does it work?

Dermaroller works by producing hundreds of microscopic needle holes in the dermis. By creating micro channels in the skin this process triggers the body’s natural healing process to create new, healthier tissue to replace the imperfections of older skin. The skin is divided into sections, if the face is being treated it is sectioned into forehead, left cheek, right cheek, nose, chin and sides of the neck. The roller is moved across the skin by using a back and forth motion between 6-10 times, this is rotated in direction for optimal skin coverage. Following immediate treatment with the roller, as the pores of the skin have been opened the skin is more receptive to absorb topical preparations more effectively. Retinol 3TR and Hydr8 B5 Serum are applied and these preparations enhance the conditions for longer lasting results.

Are there any side effects?

Following roller treatment, the skin will feel warm and tighter and the treated areas will have a sunburn appearance. The redness usually subsides after 12-24 hours and by day 3 post treatment, skin will be back to normal.

Will I need more than one treatment?

It is recommended that a course of 4 dermaroller procedures be taken 6 weeks apart.
